We are survivors of Dr Guthrie's schools. We are seeking justice and closure because many of us experienced some of the most appalling abuse and mistreatment imaginable.

Because of Scotland's rotten, corrupt justice system. I am under pressure to seek redress. My lawyers cannot bring a case against the institutions that abused me. Scottish law says that the institutions cannot get a fair trial because all the alleged abusers are supposedly dead. There is no mention of the fact that I first complained in 1988 and was ignored. It cannot be emphasised enough that I and other survivors have no right to justice.
We have never had any kind of justice under Scottish law. In Scotland, the authorities have protected the abusers and are currently protecting the institutions; they have disregarded survivors "in my case for 53 years" It's now 2023. Is it any wonder that the abusers are dead? Moreover, the three-year time-bar was only lifted in 2017. It makes me ashamed to be Scottish.
Remember that the majority of survivors have been ignored for a very long time. The new law prohibits institutions from being held liable after those responsible have died. If our own Holyrood Parliament allows such a law to pass without opposition or even criticism, we can only assume that they support it.

Dr Guthrie's Ragged Schools - Exclusively for Scotland's elite to abuse children with total impunity
The schools were 'hellholes' where vulnerable children were tortured and sexually abused.
The truth about these atrocities will be revealed .
A Scottish charity that advocates for abused children in the Scottish media and works with Future Pathways to provide counselling for victims of child abuse is receiving funding from an institution that is currently under investigation for child abuse by the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry.
Donating money to a child abuse charity that partners with Future Pathways does not create a conflict of interest for Dr Guthrie's association.
However, it is important to note that the victims of child abuse at Dr Guthrie's schools feel humiliated and insulted.
We continue to be ignored and disregarded as usual.
There is no sign of any concern on the part of the authorities!

The Scottish Government established the Future Pathways group to assist individuals who have experienced childhood abuse.
When I contacted them in September 2019, a representative told me that they had exhausted their funding due to the high number of applicants. She explained that they had run out of money.
I asked her if they provided counselling services, and she replied that they did, but all I got was a long wait with little communication, and I never received any counselling.
On February 4th, 2021, I received a phone call from Future Pathways asking if I needed any more help. I told the woman that I had received no help or counselling and that if I did ask for further help, I would probably not hear back from her for another 18 months.
Her condescending attitude towards me, implying that she had already given me help when in fact she had offered and given me nothing, led me to ask her to remove my name from the Future Pathways register. I have not heard from Future Pathways since
I hope that the individual who dealt with my case at Future Pathways did not work for the charity funded by the Dr Guthrie's Association.
If this were the case, it could potentially explain their attitude towards me.

I have raised my concerns with Future Pathways about their partnership with a counselling group that provides services to victims of child abuse.
A group of child abuse counsellors working through Future Pathways are funded by Dr Guthrie's Association.
The Scottish Abuse Inquiry is said to be investigating the same Dr Guthrie's Association/Dr Guthrie's Schools.
It is important to ensure that there is no conflict of interest or potential for bias in the services provided to victims of abuse.
I am concerned because the institution where I was abused also funds the same counselling group.
Despite my attempts to contact Future Pathways, I have received no response.
This is the unfortunate reality for victims of abuse in Dr Guthrie Schools.

Where is the outrage at this sham investigation into child abuse? https://childabuseinquiry.scot/evidence/investigations/ This Dr Guthrie’s institution is supposed to be under investigation by the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry and has been on the Scottish Child Abuse investigation list since 2015.

It doesn't seem to bother these people that their organisation is the subject of several police investigations, letters from lawyers and the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry.
If you scroll down in the PDF, you will see that Dr Guthrie's Association donated money to two well-known child abuse charities. They have also spent £44,000 on legal fees.
These are the same people who have not apologised to any of the survivors of abuse in Dr Guthrie's schools and who refuse to take responsibility for the abuse that took place in Dr Guthrie's schools. The same people who have made no contribution to the redress scheme.
Scotland's child abuse investigation list includes Dr Guthrie's schools. Well, I thought it did.
The fact that the child abuse charities actually accepted the donation is something I find very difficult to understand.
